The Tarafder Lab is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our undergraduate research student, Jacob York, who was recognized as the Top Poster Presenter 🥇 in the Engineering Division at the 2026 Undergraduate Student Poster Competition during the Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Day (SRSCAD).

In addition, Jacob has recently been awarded the Joseph F. Nelson Award for Undergraduate Research from the Van D. & Barbara B. Fishback Honors College at South Dakota State University. This prestigious award will support the continuation of his research in the Tarafder Lab.

These accomplishments reflect Jacob’s dedication, intellectual curiosity, and strong commitment to research. His work exemplifies the high standards of innovation and rigor that define our lab.

We also acknowledge the invaluable mentorship and support provided by our graduate students—Samiul Nibir, Hasan Rafsan Jani, Raihan Jahir, and Zahra Essassi-who play a key role in fostering a collaborative and supportive research environment.
